Sacred (Weekly Prayer Group that Meets on Campus During the Semester)

If you have a natural affinity towards prayer then this is the ministry for you! Hopefully, at BCM we are creating an atmosphere in which everyone would realize the immeasurable importance of prayer. Without a doubt, we cannot call ourselves followers of Christ if prayer is not at the heart of everything we do. That is why at BCM God has given us a strong mandate to lift the students and faculty of UNR and TMCC, the community of Reno, our nation, and the world up in prayer. As the Bible makes clear, our Creator is a holy, sovereign, and supremely powerful God. As mere humans, we do not arrogantly approach such a powerful and majestic Triune Maker. On the contrary, at BCM we revere and draw near the Lord with the utmost humility; and, this high reverence for Him is expressed through prayer. That’s what Sacred is all about: total surrender, getting real before God, and tearing down all the walls of pride that so easily make a barrier between us and the Lord.
